The Best YouTube Channels for Learning Spanish (From Beginner to Advanced)

Not all Spanish YouTube is created equal. Here are the channels worth your time at every level, and how to get the most out of each one.

Spanish has more YouTube content than almost any other language. That's a blessing and a problem. Too many options means too much time searching and not enough time actually watching. These are the channels that consistently deliver.

For beginners: understand the basics first

  • Dreaming Spanish (Beginner track): Pablo created a whole section of super-slow, highly comprehensible Spanish content for complete beginners. The vocabulary is simple, he speaks slowly, and there are lots of visuals. It's the best place to start.
  • Butterfly Spanish: Ana breaks down grammar and pronunciation in plain English. Good for understanding why things work the way they do.
  • Español con Juan: Conversational lessons at a controlled pace. Good for picking up everyday phrases.

For intermediate learners: native speed with context

  • Dreaming Spanish (main channel): Once you've done the beginner track, the main channel is pure native-speed Spanish storytelling. No English. Just immersion.
  • Easy Spanish: Street interviews with real people. The vocabulary is everyday and natural, captions are provided, and the content is genuinely interesting.
  • Español con María: Conversational Spanish at a natural pace. Good for hearing how people actually talk.

Watch the same video twice

First watch: follow along with captions and look up words you don't know. Second watch (same day or the next): just listen. You'll notice how much more you absorb the second time.

Immersea

Dual captions make any Spanish video a lesson.

Immersea puts your native language and Spanish side by side on any YouTube video. Tap any word for definition and pronunciation. No more pausing to Google.

For advanced learners: full native immersion

  • AuronPlay: One of the biggest Spanish-language YouTubers. Comedy and gaming content, very colloquial, lots of slang. If you can follow him, you're advanced.
  • El Mundo Today: Satirical news. Requires strong vocabulary and cultural context. Dense and funny.
  • Late Motiv (Movistar+): Spanish late-night talk show. Fast conversation, jokes, cultural references. The real deal.

Latin American vs. Spain Spanish

A common worry is whether you should learn Castilian (Spain) or Latin American Spanish. The honest answer: it doesn't matter much. Pick the variety you're most likely to use, or just watch whatever content interests you. You'll understand both with enough exposure.

The best channel is the one you'll actually watch. Pick content that genuinely interests you and the language will follow.
